Lam Quang Thi



General Lam Quang Thi (Lâm Quang Thi) was a military commander during the Vietnam War. He born in Bac Lieu province, Vietnam in 1932.

Civilian education

Military education



In 1951, he graduated from the National Military Academy, in Dalat, South Vietnam.

Military service



His positions he held within the Army of the Republic of Vietnam as Commander, RVNAF Artillery Training Center, Commander, Artillery I Corps, Deputy Commander, RVNAF Artillery, Commander, 9th Infantry Division and Commander of the Vietnam National Military Academy.

His decorations are the Vietnamese National Order, 3rd Degree, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Vietnam Army Distinguished Service Order, 1st class, Vietnam Distinguished Service Order, 1st class, Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal, 1st class, National Order of Vietnam, 3rd class, Staff Service Honor Medal, 1st class, Vietnam Technical Service Medal, 1st class, Training Service Honor Medal, 1st class, Vietnam Civil Action Honor Medal, 1st class, Merit Thai, the Legion of Merit from the United States military, and the Korean Order of Chung Mu.

He currently resides in exile in Fremont, California.
