North Bromsgrove High School
North Bromsgrove High School is a High School/Sixth Form Centre located in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. It offers education for GCSE and A level courses. It is also a specialist Arts College.
Academics
It is also known locally to have failed an Ofsted inspection in January 2003. However, in 2006 North Bromsgrove was confirmed to no longer be in special measures as significant improvements had been made.
Examination results for GCSE's are generally in line with the national average - 54% passing 5 or more GCSE's with C grades or better in 2006. A Level results in 2006 were the best in North Bromsgrove's history; students achieving places at a variety of prestigious universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
The Sixth Form was recently the subject of an HMI Review (June 2007), and it gained a 'Good' result.
The school has links in the community and over seas in the Gambia. The school has recently gained Media Arts status under the specialist status scheme.
Facilities
The main school building was recently rebuilt and stands alongside the Millennium block which was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in the year 2000.
The new school building was built by a building company caled HBG. They also built some other schools in the area such as SBHS and Meadows First/Parkside Middle. The school was open to the students in September 2007 but the actual opening ceremony wasn't until 2008 when the building of the school was completed. The school was formally opened by Mark Williams.
Arts
The school has a drama and arts department which puts on plays and concerts.

* Celebrated teaching staff - Clifford T Ward, singer/songwriter.
